- define the basic principles within the fields of intercultural competence and communication (cognitive frame-shifting and behavioral code-shifting).
- analyze one’s own cultural values, beliefs, and self-understanding.
- articulate effects these personal cultural values have on one’s perception of cross-cultural awareness.
