- discuss the basic principles of disease prevention and recognition in domestic animals.
- discuss the basic mechanisms by which selected infectious agents cause disease in domestic animals.
- discuss the causes and basic mechanisms of selected non-infectious diseases in domestic animals.
- recognize and discuss specific disease examples covered in class, including the name of the causative agent(s) and/or mechanism, the general signs of illness, applicable preventive measures, and types of applicable treatments.
