Description
This introductory course combines theory and practice through research, discussion, and hands-on projects. Students learn to see light differently, develop design language, and explore lighting’s applications across performance contexts. The course covers both artistic conceptualization and technical execution, teaching students how lighting designers create theatrical spectacle through collaboration while fostering appreciation for light as a dynamic element in performance and daily life.
