Advances students ability to critically examine the role of power, privilege and oppression in shaping lived experiences. A central premise of this course is that race plays a pivotal role in shaping lived experiences both within the US and globally.

- apply an evidence-informed approach to understanding racial phenomenon and structural oppression in a local and global context.
- critically analyze the cultural biases and potential implications to explain human behavior at micro, mezzo and macro levels in the local and global context.
