- demonstrate knowledge of basic human swallowing processes, including their biological neurological, acoustic, psychological, developmental, and cultural bases.
- demonstrate knowledge of the nature of swallowing disorders, including their etiologies, characteristics, anatomical/physiological, acoustic, psychological, developmental, and cultural correlates.
- demonstrate knowledge of the principles and methods of prevention, assessment, and intervention of swallowing disorders, including the consideration of anatomical/physiological, psychological, developmental, and cultural correlates.
