- demonstrate understanding of the theoretical background and principles of assessment and treatment practices of language and literacy disorders in school age children.
- explain the school-based policies and practices and its role in prevention, referral, appraisal, diagnosis and intervention.
- demonstrate understanding of the appraisal process of diagnostic and treatment evidence to inform Evidence Based Practice (EBP).
- demonstrate understanding of the impact of culturally and linguistically different (CLD) background on language and literacy in a school based setting.
- formulate intervention plan that address the four modalities of language (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) in the context of curricular demands.
- assess different components (phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics) of language and its impact on literacy and related disorders.
