- define and explain the fundamental building blocks of social-scientific research including types of theoretical explanations, conceptualization and measurement, and probability vs. non probability-based samples.
- critically evaluate the design and ethical implications of social-scientific research studies.
- formulate and articulate an original research question and/or hypothesis that can be translated into a researchable design.
- create a complete research proposal including an introduction, literature review, formal statement of research question and/or hypothesis, research design, and study strengths and limitations.
