- critically examine various theoretical perspectives on social change and development in diverse societies around the world, focusing on the impact of class, race, ethnicity, gender, and other inequities in bringing about social change.
- demonstrate an understanding of the nature and dynamics of social change and societal transformation on a global scale.
- analyze and interpret the impact of inequities in society that have prompted societal institutions to develop policies and procedures in promoting diversity and equity to effect social change.
