Description
Focuses on the freight journey of global supply chain management. You will learn intermodal flows (truck, rail, ship, and air), customs clearance, post-clearance delivery, and how transportation links partners and facilities separated geographically in a global supply chain. Topics include: Global Business and Transportation Economics; Transportation Modes and Sourcing Requirements; Transportation Technology, Systems and Tools; Risk Management, Sustainability, and Innovation.

- describe the impact of global commerce as it relates to the economics of transportation.
- determine what mode(s) are required to balance cost efficiencies and customer demand, and the tools and technology that support those decisions.
