- compare commercial determinants with other determinants of health, including biological, behavioral, social, political, cultural and environmental.
- explain and compare corporate political activity among major industries of tobacco, alcohol, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and fossil fuels.
- describe key principles of business, economics, politics and law involved in health determinants.
- synthesize the principles of unhealthy commodities, industrial epidemics, and profit-driven diseases in relation to negative externalities harmful to health.
- explore, compare and critique different approaches, frameworks and best practices to protect, manage, and mitigate corporate influence and conflicts of interests on efforts to curb the NCD epidemic.
- explain the influence of non-state actor groups, networks, and coalitions related to NCD policy design, implementation and evaluation.
