Overview

Description

This classroom and field-based course trains students to be in a leadership role with instruction in outdoor leadership competencies, planning, preparation, route selection, equipment use, navigation techniques, leave no-trace ethics, risk management, and group facilitation skills. Students must be able to walk for extended periods while carrying a 50-60lb backpack through steep and rugged terrain.
