- examine current health care systems, financing structures, technology, and health care policy to identify a practice issue that is in need of change.
- synthesize scientific knowledge within a theoretical framework to develop a quality evidence-based proposal.
- examine interprofessional team member roles and responsibilities to identify stakeholders for quality improvement initiatives and provide effective leadership of quality improvement teams.
- evaluate cultural and ethical implications related to the identified practice issue and supported practice change with particular emphasis on social justice considerations.
- analyze the practice issue for concerns of access and health disparities.
- integrate the role and responsibilities of advance practice nurses guided by national scope and standards to lead the development of a high quality evidence based change project.
