Overview
Description
Principles, technical basis, and requirements for preparedness and response to emergencies during nuclear and other radioactive material transport. Emphasizes interaction between engineering controls and radiation protection. Expands on Transportation Emergency Preparedness Program (TEPP) training, emphasizing roles of technical experts working with all-hazards emergency response organizations to conduct package assessments and technical response actions. This course is offered primarily at Argonne National Laboratory in Illinois and may be occasionally offered at other authorized locations. Students are responsible for all national laboratory fees and expenses associated with the course location.
