- sing, play, and teach a body of songs, games, and activities appropriate for children in grades K-6.
- explain the development of musical skills and concepts in elementary-aged children such as singing, moving, creating, and playing instruments and apply that knowledge to various assignments.
- create and implement logical, age-appropriate lesson plans intended for use in the elementary music classroom.
- apply the fundamental approaches of various pedagogies and modes of musical expression to lesson writing and reflections.
- reflect upon and assess their own and other’s teaching and learning through discussions and assignments.
