Description
This course covers the science, technology, and sustainability of producing and recycling critical minerals vital to clean energy and advanced manufacturing. Focused on REEs, Li, Co, Ni, and Cu, students explore geology, mining, processing, refining, and recycling, supported by case studies on environmental, social, and policy issues. Cross-cutting themes include life-cycle assessment (LCA) and global supply chain security.
