- demonstrate an advanced level of competency in the theory of rings (ideals, factorization in commutative rings, localization, rings of polynomials and of power series).
- demonstrate an advanced level of competency in the theory of modules (exact sequences, projective and injective modules, modules over principal ideal domains).
