- evaluate and apply current rules of evidence to research results offered as evidence in cases over which they preside.
- critique and interpret social and behavioral science research they encounter as a part of the job as judge.
- design research that can be a part of thesis or dissertation requirements for graduation from the Judicial Studies program.
