Description

This immersive course blends sports journalism with global culture. Students will cover live events, explore the host city, and report on the intersection of sports with art, fashion, and history. They’ll engage with professionals, produce multimedia stories, and analyze how sports media shapes identity. Through hands-on assignments and multimedia projects, students will develop reporting skills, engage with professionals, and examine sports’ role in global culture. A key focus will be on analyzing how sports media shapes identity, particularly regarding class, race, and gender.
