This seminar is focused on the development and practice of world history across a range of places and approaches. Rather than a structured chronological or geographic survey, the course emphasizes research and writing, designed to explore the questions and practices of the field. Students will engage with major works in world history, evaluate methodological approaches, explore thematic and comparative frameworks, and produce an original article length research paper grounded in primary sources.
