- demonstrate in writing and/or classroom participation a knowledge of the transformation in the political, social, and cultural status of women from the 4th-15th century in Europe and the Mediterranean basin in various faiths.
- articulate in a written project and presentation ways in which gender intersects with class, social status, religion, and culture to influence individual life experiences in Middle Ages as evidenced by primary sources.
- interpret secondary sources and comprehend arguments that pertain to the contemporary historiography on medieval concepts of gender and on women and their experiences in the Middle Ages.
- integrate and synthesize Core knowledge, enabling them to analyze open-ended problems or complex issues through long-form written assignments.
