- Students will be able to analyze and interpret primary source documents in words and images that pertain to the social, political and/or cultural life of Roman society.
- Students will be able to analyze and interpret secondary sources and comprehend arguments that pertain to the historiography of Roman society.
- Students will be able to analyze and clearly explain the argument, main points, and use of evidence in secondary sources, through class discussion and written assignments.
- Students will be able to describe the development of Roman culture and its political organization and formulate an overview of popular culture, contemporary interpretations of religion, literature, and private life in essays.
