Learning Outcomes
- read and analyze literature from some of the main literary epochs of the 20th century which are Bürgerlicher Realismus (Fontane), Jahrhundertwende (Schnitzler, Rilke, Morgenstern, Ringelnatz), Expressionismus (Kafka, Trakl, Heym, Benn), Literatur des Exils und innere Emigration (Brecht, Kästner), Nachkriegszeit (Dürrenmatt) and Gegenwart.
- demonstrate ability to express opinions and points of view in discussions and in writing German.
- interpret and analyze literature.
- demonstrate knowledge of the authors and historical background of the texts.
