Overview
Description
Coursework will demonstrate a progression of field investigation skills culminating in a final project or integrative field experience that is based on the knowledge and skills acquired in earlier geological science courses. This shall include instruction in the geological techniques or methods needed to measure, map, evaluate, and communicate geologic data.

Learning Outcomes
- generate and use base maps, and understand three-dimensional location data.
- describe various rocks/outcrops and locate those descriptions in three-dimensional space. They will utilize skills acquired in prerequisite courses to interpret these descriptions.
- construct a basic geologic map on a topographic base, and draw reasonable cross sections to determine three-dimensional interpretations.
