Overview
Description
In this course we will discuss social and scientific issues related to Earth’s natural resources. We will explore both non-renewable and renewable resources as we progress through the class. Throughout history, food, water, energy and metals are the drivers of industrial, economic and social growth. Human perceptions of the natural environment have evolved and expanded from domination to preservation, stewardship, sustainability, and resilience. This course will draw upon prior student learning and apply those concepts to conserve our natural resources.
