Overview
Description
This workshop is in writing for Writing for Children and Young Adults (WCYA) will take place during their first residency. This course focuses on the fundamentals of writing in the field, and explores the history and trends of the genre and the practice of the genre as a literary art form. Students begin to hone in on specific tools in writing picture books, middle grade or young adult narratives. Additional topics for feedback include scene and voice development.
