Overview
Description
A comprehensive, research-based reading instruction course including: phonics, vocabulary, spelling, meaning/patterns, writing, adolescent literature. Emphases on skills needed for content area reading and comprehension including study skills and ongoing assessment and diagnostic techniques. Developmental methods for students who are delayed, culturally diverse, or who have learning differences and/or difficulties are also taught.
