- demonstrate understanding of the goals, benefits, and uses of assessment for young children with special needs as demonstrated through the students’ participation in discussions and performance on exams.
- demonstrate knowledge about and use observation, documentation, and other appropriate assessment tools and approaches by creating and completing a case study of a young child.
- recognize assessments need to be individualized and appropriate for the child and family and provide information for intervention by reviewing, analyzing, and critiquing two assessment instruments.
