- explain the history and legislation of special education and disability, and the extent to which that knowledge is presented to beginning teacher and/or disability professionals.
- analyze applicable case law in education and disability rights to explain the impact court decisions have on current special education and/or disability advocacy practice.
- identify disability advocacy organizations and explain their role in the development of special education role and policy and continuing role in protecting rights of individuals with disabilities.
