- develop detailed instructional plans for individuals with severe disabilities in various curriculum domains ensuring that these plans embed basic skills such as communication, social, and motor skills into natural routines and activities as well as facilitate access to the general education curriculum.
- implement instructional plans and demonstrate competence in systematic instruction through the use of prompting procedures and feedback procedures.
- demonstrate understanding of importance of monitoring student progress and will implement data-based instructional plans where data are used to make needed modifications in instructional plans.
- demonstrate understanding of assistive technology and adaptations? including application of adaptations related to different levels of symbol understanding (e.g., objects, photos, line drawings) needed to enhance participation of students with severe disabilities across curriculum domains.
