- identify central issues and ideas about the organization and role of the judicial branch in American government.
- demonstrate a basic understanding of trial and appellate court organization and functions in the American legal system and issue of access to justice.
- identify and examine their roles and functions in the administration of justice including critical issues in organization, authority, and decision making in regard to the central actors of the judicial branch.
- identify and analyze central procedural pretrial and trial issues and their interrelationship with the courtroom actors and the functions of the judicial branch in regard to processes.
