Description

This course examines how the body operates as a rhetorical phenomenon, investigates the presentation of bodies in discourse and media, and critiques ways of categorizing bodies. The course engages and evaluates different critical and humanistic theories about the body and discusses such topics as disability, sexuality, gender, Illness, mortality, and normalization.
