Description
Transport Phenomena I provides an introduction to transport phenomena, with an emphasis on momentum transport (fluid mechanics) and an introduction to thermal conduction. Topics include: hydrostatics, laminar and turbulent flow, packed and fluidized beds, flow measurement devices, pumps, friction factors and drag coefficients, introduction to boundary layers and to Navier Stokes equations, Newtonian and nonnewtonian fluids, dimensional analysis, flow visualization, Fourier’s law.
