Learning Outcomes
- describe multicultural theory, power and privilege, prejudice, oppression discriminators and barriers.
- use the skills necessary to effectively address and adjust for culture in group, family, couples and individual counseling.
- explain lifespan development and the capacity to adjust the counseling process for lifespan issues, including factors related to trauma, crisis and addictions.
- describe the world of work, the impact of work on mental health, and the relationship between work and home balance and related systems.
- demonstrate the capacity to conduct a counseling interview and demonstrate basic and advanced counseling skills and interventions.
