- provide written understanding of the basic concepts of family systems theory and models, including the second cybernetics, rules of congruence, simple binds and discontinuous change, first/second order change.
- provide written understanding of the typologies of family structure, family paradigms, pathological triads.
- provide written demonstration of knowledge and research skills focused on an area of family systems.
- formally present findings of a research project to classmates and provide effective handouts.
