Overview
Description
Human Genetics is an upper division course that focuses on applying genetic techniques to human subjects and disorders rather than model organisms. Discussing mutations and genetic disorders, examining pedigrees in order to determine the mode of inheritance of human traits, this course focuses on the ways in which humans are unique subjects with a lack of simple Mendelian traits. Grades are based on homework, exams, a pedigree project, presentations and discussions of primary literature papers.
