Learning Outcomes
- analyze the pathophysiology, signs, and symptoms of concussion to formulate an evidence-based clinical assessment and treatment plan (including vestibular, ocular, and cervical systems).
- evaluate psychosocial factors and mental health conditions (anxiety, depression) that may delay recovery, and develop a referral plan to appropriate mental health providers.
- implement and communicate a comprehensive, staged return-to-learn and return-to-sport protocol based on current NATA Position Statements and international consensus guidelines.
