- outline the development of Lower, Middle, and Upper Paleolithic industries with an emphasis on what those artifacts can tell us about human evolution and adaptation through hands-on analysis of artifacts and directed readings.
- demonstrate understanding of the natural and cultural factors that shaped lithic technology including raw material availability, mobility, exchange, and the environment.
- recall the primary concepts associated with studies of lithic technological organization including curation, provisioning strategies, and reduction strategies.
