Efficient use of irrigation water applied to crops: irrigation water management, especially addressing field level challenges in arid and semi-arid regions. How information from weather and soil water sensing systems can be used to quantify irrigation amounts required to satisfy crop water requirements. Fundamental principles of pressurized irrigation systems and how to apply these principles to select the characteristics of their main components.
